I'm a 20 year old, 2 nd /3 rd year student studying in Leeds, England. I enjoy using my work as a way of exploring pattern, wallpaper design, ways to use paper, line drawing and colour. Most importantly I like to produce pieces of work as part of a collection and like to explore applying illustration to unusual surfaces.
About work :
For this project, I chose to focus the title, ‘I Did It My Way' on the idea of The Human Experience, putting together aspirational images, or objects/things, which appear organic and seem to have their own way of existing. For me this was reflected in the idea of image making and tools artists and people use to make their mark and comment on The Human Experience. The pens are also an important and vital part of my human experience. The pens then act as a pattern, but also as a symbol of an object that people, all over the world. The simplicity of the line drawings, communicates this idea of The Human Experience all being about people put on a planet, then to all live out roughly the same experiences and the idea that it's a pattern shows the repetition of this process. |
