Robert Reed . Whilst currently studying illustration, at the arts institute Bournemouth; I challenge my drawing skills regularly. Working photo-realistically, I try to portray a contemporary sense of nostalgia. That oxymoron is what diligently filters my vision of the world. My work is drawn with only 6b, 2b and 2h pencils. I use the clone tool on Adobe Photoshop to tidy the image. I use watercolor pencils and lightweight markers for the minimalist colour. I'm a colour-blind artist and overcoming this difficulty is a regular occurrence, hence the limited selection of colour. But finding new ways of working and seeing is what incites any artist's personal growth. And this is just another metaphorical hurdle to overcome." www.robreedillustrator.carbonmade.com Pocketful Illustration Magazine Selin Yurdakul
